MONDAY 4/27/09 - A.M.

The swine flu outbreak took overnight markets down hard. Traders fear the outbreak could reduce meat consumption.  Governments taking actions to halt the flu's expansion to official pandemic ratings.

Volatility, uncertainty and risk all rise on the news. Wet weather in the northern U.S. Plains is retarding spring wheat seeding. Production estimates being revised. Rainfall in the U.S. Plains HRW wheat region beneficial to crop output expectations.

SWW track bidders empathetic to the broader board's retreat.

Swine flu worries and uncertainties drained 23 to 24 cents out to CBOT wheat contracts. Beans also suffered ill effects.

SWW track markets displayed some distress at Chicago's weak close. For now, bears have the floor.
